| Worship is at the
heart and center of our life at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. We gather to
experience and celebrate God's presence with us through Word and
Sacrament. Our spacious nave provides a welcome setting for worship. The
Lutheran Book of Worship, as well as a hymnal supplement puts at our
fingertips a wealth of Lutheran and ecumenical hymns and liturgies. Services are held each Saturday night at 5:30 in the Fellowship Hall and on Sunday at 8:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Special services are held during Lent, Holy Week, Thanksgiving, and on other festival occasions. Holy Communion is celebrated the first and third Sundays of each month and on major festivals. Baptisms are conducted within the worship services and can be scheduled through the church office. In addition to our staff, dozens of persons are needed for our extensive worship schedule. Individuals are always welcome to serve as lay readers, ushers, choir members, acolytes, altar guild members, communion assistants, greeters, and nursery attendants. But most importantly, you are needed to be a worshipper.
